How did you get started in the industry? With Pornhub?

In high school, I was always really insecure about my chest, and everyone teased me for having big boobs in school. When I was done high school, I moved away from home. I had this crazy night and participated in a wet T-shirt contest and made more money than I ever have. I was so impressed, I was inspired to get into erotic dancing. I then went on to do contests, had lots of success, won a few times, and eventually got a contract with a company that is really hard to get into. I did a ton of circus training for it which I loved.

That kept me interested in dancing for a while. I still miss it from time to time. However, when a family member got sick, I decided to step up and financially take care of it. So that’s what got me into clip creating, since it allowed to me stay home rather than away from the house, dancing. Luckily, my house was big enough and I had space to film my own clips. I started webcamming and grew a following. My fans have been with me ever since and have really helped me grow. My core group is very important to me. They’ve seen me go from webcam to Hollywood equipment.

How do you build a relationship with your fans?

I get very personal with them. We’ve developed friendships and I do trust them. I let them know what’s going on and let them see parts of my personal life. I think they appreciate feeling like they’re seeing part of the real me and not just Korina.

How do you use social media to your advantage?

I’ve noticed that when I post something and ask my followers to check out my content, there’s suddenly a spike in traffic. It’s quite exciting. I love Instagram and if I could make a living off of it, I would. However, Twitter is my go-to when I want to launch a video. That’s where most of my following is.

I use it to build up anticipation and pre-launch a production. If I’m working on a new movie, I’ll show them what toys I’m going to use and potential locations, and basically create some hype.

What do you accredit your success to?

When I first started, people really jumped on board and appreciated the fact that I’m always striving for more. I started out with a webcam and now I have my own brand, even as an amateur. I have a videographer who is also an amateur, but we’ve grown together. I’ve improved my editing skills, my lighting, my equipment, and my fans have loved all my upgrades. So I think my success stems from wanting to grow.

Speaking of equipment, what are you using these days?

I don’t think that my business plan is for everyone — I invest thousands in my equipment because it’s my passion. However, camera-wise, I use a Blackmagic which is basically cinema quality. I’m striving to get an ARRI camera. As for lighting, I’ve invested in something like Gemini lights so that I can have any kind of hue on me.

I used to really light up my scenes, but that’s not what I go for anymore. I want more of a cinematic look and use lighting to create a mood. I’ve found going bright is not always the way to go, so I’ve toned it down and use more of a blue hue on me.

What are your future plans?

I want to do more solo work and introduce role-playing into a mini movie. You don’t see much of it in the solo world, so I want to help pioneer it. I’m very proud of the fact that I’ve stayed true to myself, remained solo, and have been really successful — it’s rare in the adult industry.

I’ve been pressured to do more boy/girl, but I don’t think I will ever go there. I want to bring that high-quality production value of a large company to a solo girl. I’d eventually like to have my own studio where I could film women.

What has been your biggest struggle?

I struggle all the time. I doubt myself and struggle sometimes to be creative and stay consistent at the same time. You have to understand that there’s going to be ups and downs. There are so many factors that come into play. I’m hard on myself creatively when something doesn’t go as planned, but I try to take a step back and not overthink things.

Any advice for models new to the industry?

Think of your house as a set. If you get a custom-video request, think of all the different areas you could use in your house rather than just settling for your bedroom. It helps if you’re living in the moment and incorporate role playing.
