This week on Model Citizens, we decided to feature one of the top amateur couples on Pornhub and find out how they rose to fame so quickly. After only a year and a half in the Model Program, GuessWhoX2 snatched a spot in the top 50 and were nominated for 3 Pornhub Awards in 2020.

How did you two meet?
I worked with a girl in high school who was dating Tristen’s college roommate at the time. She didn’t have a car, so I’d drive her to visit her boyfriend. Tristen and I hit it off immediately, but just stayed friends for over a year for honestly no reason. The sexual tension between us was unreal from day one -- and yes, our friends called that out many times. It was so awkward until we finally acknowledged it the following year after I started as a freshman at the same college; we were seeing each other constantly at that point!
What inspired you two to join the Pornhub Model Program?
We were going through a very adventurous phase in our sex life. One day, we were talking about how hot it would be to make a sex tape, fully expecting to just keep it for ourselves. The video was surprisingly hot! We enjoyed watching it as much as we did filming it. Sharing our videos with others felt like a natural next step. We were so turned on by the idea of others watching us and loved the mystery of staying anonymous. Our first videos got more views than we could have ever imagined. That’s when we heard about the Pornhub Model Program; making money off our videos had never crossed our minds. But it worked out, creating content allows us to mix our interests and passion perfectly. It’s been an amazing life-changing adventure for us.

Why the name GuessWhoX2?
We were creating a Pornhub account to upload our first video, so we had to choose a username. I suggested it to Tristen as more of a joke, but then it grew on us. The idea is that there’s two of us, and we’re faceless, so you’re “guessing who” two times! I have no idea how the name came to me, but it made us laugh. Tristen and I honestly thought it would be nothing more than just a username. We never planned to grow like we have over the past year and a half, or that this name would turn into our entire brand, but it’s absolutely fitting and perfect. The name has definitely grown on us!
How would you describe the kind of content you create?
It’s amateur, authentic, passionate anonymous adult content. 😉
How has joining the industry affected your relationship? Has your dynamic changed?
Creating content has 100% changed our dynamic. Now that we run a successful OnlyFans account and have so many subscribers on Pornhub, we’re expected to produce content regularly, which isn’t always easy. We’ve had to establish a better work-life balance, especially since our work is based on our actual sex life. When we’re running low on energy or content to share, it becomes demanding on our relationship because we might have to film when we weren’t exactly ready. That being said, we always work tirelessly to get each other in the mood or the right headspace before we film.
It can also be difficult to find intimate time in our relationship. More often than not, we prefer to have sex just us. No cameras and no external worries. Or occasionally, we like to record it and just keep it for ourselves. However, it can be harder to find those intimate moments that are truly just for us when fans are constantly pushing for new videos. That’s where work-life balance comes in again!
Other than finding that balance, this has definitely forced us to focus on our communication and it’s 100% strengthened our relationship. We had worked together prior to creating content, but now we work together 24/7, and we honestly love it. Being able to work with your best friend is a true gift; you learn more ways on how to challenge each other and help bring out each other’s strengths. Plus, it’s so incredibly exciting to build something together and watch it grow!

Do you feel like you’re putting on a persona when filming? Do you tap into your alter ego or are you very much yourselves when you film?
It depends on the day. We try to be ourselves -- our goal has always been to share our real sex life. Sometimes, it’s difficult to get 100% into the moment while filming without worrying about if we’re in the shot, if the camera is still recording, if our faces aren’t showing, if our dog isn’t on camera or chewing his super loud bone next to the mic, etc. What you’re seeing is still at least 90% authentic, the other 10% is just us being in our heads and having to worry about all that other stuff while we film. Other than that, it’s all us baby!
Are you two similar or different from one another?
Hmmm. Different but somehow still VERY similar. I’m INFP and he’s ESTP. I’m a Pisces sun and Leo moon, and Tristen’s a Leo sun and Pisces moon. In many ways, it feels like we’re the same person. The ways in which we’re different complement each other —we’ve found a very good balance. Tristen and I also have very similar love languages (We highly encourage anyone to read that book, whether you’re in a relationship or not).
Tell us something your fans would be surprised to learn about you.
You guys already know our biggest secret. 😉 Here’s one our Instagram followers (@guesswho.x2) already know: Something surprising about me personally is that I’ve had a hysterectomy. That’s right guys, there’s a reason I get to indulge in all the creampies I want! I had the surgery immediately after graduating college two years ago due to severe endometriosis. I regret nothing and our sex life is a trillion times better because of it. We began exploring our sex life more and decided to create our Pornhub account as soon as I recovered from my surgery.
You’re ranked #36, have over 250K subscribers and almost 200 million views -- what do you credit your success to?
Interacting with our fans and sharing our real sex has definitely played a part in our success. We try to film only when we’re genuinely in the mood, otherwise, it feels forced and we risk losing the passion in the video. We also try to interact with our fans as much as possible; it truly helps to foster a community among your fans! Also, good research has certainly helped.
Use keywords in video titles, try to use thought-out tags, pay attention to new trends, and occasionally check out other Models’ videos to stay inspired and learn new filming techniques.

Do you work on producing content full time, or is this more a side passion project?
We split our time 60/40 between producing content and running another business in an unrelated industry. We’re both very entrepreneurial, so managing our own work comes naturally. Having another business doesn’t mean we’re not passionate about what we do here. We love producing content and wouldn’t trade it for anything! Creating content is still our primary focus. We just believe it’s important to not put all your eggs in one basket.
You were nominated for three Pornhub Awards in 2020, how did that feel?
To be honest, we were shocked to be nominated at all. Most Popular Verified Couple, Most Popular Female Newcomer, and Favorite Female Newcomer were all unexpected nominations, but we felt absolutely honored to be included among so many big names and recognized for our hard work after only one year in the industry. It felt completely unreal and still does sometimes when we think about it. Just by being nominated three times that first year, we feel like we’ve already won!
How do you market your brand, grow your fanbase, and bring traffic to your PH page?
Research your audience to find out what platforms they’re using, check out what’s most popular among other Models in your niche, head to those platforms, then start interacting and sharing your unique content in those places. It’s important to interact with fans and Models; building connections is essential and so is supporting other creators. Engage with your audience as much as possible so that they can relate with you more and are willing to promote and support your work. It’s truly all about building a community, and then the growth sort of just happens.
Patience is key, too. Have fun and it will show. Fans want to see the real you, so don’t be afraid to show some personality. I read something that helped me a lot when I was stuck in a content rut and began comparing our content production to others, which is very easy to do: “Create more than you consume.” Such a simple concept and so important to remember as a content creator!
What kind of advice can you offer to couples who are thinking of joining the Model Program?
If it’s something that excites you both, 10/10 do it. Communicate and think forward. We encourage couples to join, but just make sure that you're committed to not only each other, but also doing this work. Putting yourself out there can be difficult at the beginning, but communication will make it easier. Remember to take time for yourselves as a couple. Sometimes, the content can get demanding, but remember that your relationship comes first.
Lastly, don’t let anyone pressure you into doing anything that makes you feel uncomfortable, and that includes your partner as well as your fans. If fans want you to try cuckold or B/G/G, or foot fetish, anal, or whatever it is, only do it if you both truly want to and feel comfortable exploring it together. It’s your content and your relationship, so make it yours and keep it that way! You have the power here. Your true fans will love and support you for just being yourself.
