Bisexual Awareness Week begins tomorrow, September 16th, and to celebrate we are running a series of Model Spotlights featuring bisexual performers. Kicking off the week, we have Kira Noir, who sheds light on many different aspects of bisexual porn. Read on to learn more about Kira’s experiences!

What does Bisexual Awareness Week mean to you as an adult performer?

To be honest, this is the first time I’ve heard about it! I’m assuming it’s about encouraging people to know more about bisexuality.

What are misconceptions that people tend to have about you as a bisexual women/man in the industry, and how do you try to change that?

People tend to think bisexuals are all polygamous or could never be satisfied by just one gender. Or they tend to think that bisexual women in porn are only fucking girls for the benefit of men. As a performer I hope to show how passionate I am about my women only scenes, and I hope to do threesomes that focus on both genders with equal enthusiasm.

Do you feel bisexuality has become fetishized over the years? Does this affect your work, and in what way?

Absolutely. There tend to be a lot of straight girls who have accepted bisexual threesome or lesbian porn bookings, because it’s generally assumed that all women in porn will at least perform as a bisexual. I’m hoping that the rise of self-produced content helps performers seize the means of production in a way that allows them to make their own money and only do the type of scenes they want to do.

Is there more of a stigma in the adult industry surrounding bisexual men vs women? How are bisexual men and women viewed differently?

Bisexual male performers have had a hard time in the adult industry. There’s a stigma that they are more likely to have STI’s, or that they are secretly gay. Bisexual women are technically more accepted, but it’s in a fetishized way. In porn, women are assumed to be bisexual while prioritizing men. Men are assumed to be gay or straight, and if they’re bisexual they’re still expected to prioritize men! There are just some people who can’t imagine a world where the men are the most important sexual partners.

What advice do you have for other bisexual performers who are new to the industry?

Buckle up! Things are getting better, but for the most part porn holds a mirror up to society. There are still a lot of weird stereotypes and stigmas bisexual people must deal with.

Pornhub is the perfect place for new fans to discover your X-rated content with its millions of daily visitors. What tactics do you use to attract a bisexual audience and how do you leverage meta-data to do this?

I try to upload a good mix of content! I hope to shoot a lot more content with bisexual men this year and add plenty of tags that specify that everybody is getting down together!

Imagine yourself in a dream location with dream collaborators, where is the set and who are the people? Set the stage for us!

I would love to do an all-girl orgy of every single shade of woman. My dream shot would be a row of butts, ranging from the palest to the darkest of skin tones. Then we form a daisy chain until we’re all satisfied. After that, maybe the men can join. Maybe.

Which bisexual model should we all have on our radar and why?

Davin Strong! He’s a tattooed muscled teddy bear of a bisexual goddess worshipping bear fucking sweetheart.

How has your experience with bisexuality helped define you?

I am actually currently figuring out exactly what labels work for me! I’ll let the internet know when I figure it out.
